Wales in the midday sun

Wales in the midday sun – Only mad dogs & Englishmen venture out in the midday sun or so the saying goes….guess we need to add Photographers to that list as well ?

It seemed a shame not to scout out a couple of locations whilst I was in Wales , both well known but not by me….the only drawback was the light , harsh midday sun is not my favorite kind of light .

But I thought I’d give it a try , nothing ventured , nothing gailned . Both locations had their challenges ,trying to compose an image without the sky as I was shooting straight in to the sunlight at the waterfall & a very bright sky with little cloud cover at the church on Angelsey .

No sparkling images but I’m pleased enough , scouting trips need to be treated as such , a learning curve & also as a reminder as to why I don’t shoot in those conditions .

Still good fun & plenty learnt……the Church is definitely one for a revisit, soon , very soon ??
