Evening photography BIG SKY country

Evening photography BIG SKY country - This one is a bit of a nostalgia trip for me as I return to one of the areas that I used to frequent when I was first getting into landscape photography back in the early 2000s.

If you head westward from my hometown of Great Yarmouth in Norfolk you will soon be out on a large area of marshes, it really is big sky country here.

Dotted amongst this landscape are a good many drainage mills which bring a nice bit of subject matter (and height!!!) to the area.

On this occasion I went for a long walk from Wickhampton in a big loop, by the time I got back it was dark and I was knackered!!!

It reminded me that sometimes we neglect locations that are close to us in search of more spectacular or dramatic landscapes. This walk has certainly made me think about spending a lot more time in my local area this summer.

I hope you'll join me on those days out and thanks very much for watching this entry.
