Abstract Millport Harbour

Abstract Millport Harbour, on the Isle of Great Cumbrae in the Clyde estuary. Millport with its Victorian promenade which curves around an attractive bay on the south coast is spread around a bay which makes up the ... "king's harbour".

Great Cumbrae is the larger of the two islands known as The Cumbraes in the lower Firth of Clyde, Scotland,

Millport is home to Britain’s smallest cathedral, the Cathedral of the Isles, which was completed in 1851 to a design by William Butterfield, one of the leading Gothic revival architects of the day.

Landscape photographers aim to capture and illustrate their surroundings as close to reality as possible.

The genre can include human-made landscapes and natural scenes. Abstract landscape photography melds each practice to push the boundaries of both genres.

Software used Photoshop and Nik Collection Analog Efex Pro 2 to edit my images — layer, tint, colour saturation.

I try to create more expressive, subjective, abstract images, while still showing the original subject in a recognisable fashion.
